Randstad Cultural Temping

This project was all about fostering a creative approach to temporary employment in cultural organizations. To that end, Randstad organized a competition aimed at the cultural sector. Organizations were asked to propose a project for which they needed a temporary co-worker for a period of three months. The top 7 projects won the services of a temp. In exchange, Randstad was given the opportunity to organize an exclusive event for clients and partners. Gerard Mortier of La Monnaie in Brussels was chosen as an ambassador for this project. The cultural temping project allowed Randstad to position itself as a solution-driven, ethical and innovative employment agency towards both clients and temping staff. Newspapers and cultural magazines devoted full attention to the project and helped us generate valuable responses from candidates and cultural organizations.

Olympic Games in Atlanta – 1996: sponsorship of the BOIC

Applying the same principle, Randstad helped simplify the employment status of a number top athletes (including Fred Deburghgrave, Brigitte Becue and several judokas). The sponsorship programme enabled these athletes to devote all their energies to training for the Olympic Games. In exchange, Randstad was given the opportunity to send a number of guests to the Games in Atlanta. Not only did this communications project send an important signal – give our top athletes the status they deserve – it lead to unique incentives for Randstad clients and personnel.
